Dale Phipps
President
Mr. Phipps earned a Bachelor of Science in Natural Gas Engineering in 1985, from Texas A & I University, in Kingsville, Texas. He has over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
Basil Phipps
Vice President
Mr. Phipps earned his first Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Old Dominion University in 1973. He continued his education at West Virginia University earning a second Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering in 1977. Mr. Phipps has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 40 years and founded the VirTex companies in 1983.
Mr. Phipps is the President of VirTex Producing Company, LP.
Stephen Broll
Engineering Manager
Mr. Broll joined VirTex in 2003 as a Drilling Engineer and was promoted to Drilling Manager in 2013. He is in charge of all drilling and production for VirTex. He is a 1996 graduate of Texas A&M; Kingsville with a Bachelor's Degree in Natural Gas Engineering. Mr. Broll came to VirTex with 13 years of oil and gas engineering experience.
Matt Conrad
Vice President of Geology and Business Development
Mr. Conrad earned a Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Geology from West Virginia University in 1984 and 1987, respectively. Mr. Conrad is responsible for geologic mapping and exploration activities occurring in the Appalachian Basin, Illinois Basin, and South Texas. Mr. Conrad joined VirTex in 2013 and has worked in the oil and gas industry for over 30 years.
Tersh Baker
Vice President of Land
Mr. Baker has been Land Manager for VirTex Operating Company since 2003, and was promoted to VP of Land in 2017. He is responsible for all land functions of the company, to include the acquisition and administration of leases, business development, and legal issues pertaining to land and lease acquisition.
Mr. Baker has 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry as an independent producer and operator in Texas, Mississippi, Kansas and North Dakota. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Geology from Washington and Lee University, and a Master's Degree in Business Administration from Texas A&I; University. He is a multiple past regional Vice President and Director of the Texas Independent Producers and Royalty Owners Association.
Leo Verrett
Vice President of Pipeline Operations
Mr. Verrett has been with VirTex since July 2005 as Vice-President of Operations and Business Development of Faraday Pipeline Co. ("FPL"). He is responsible for managing FPL's engineering, operations and expansion projects. In addition to his duties to FPL he is responsible for the marketing all VirTex oil and gas production. Mr. Verrett has ultimate responsibility for profitability, operations, strategy, business development and capital project development within FPL.
Prior to joining VirTex, Mr. Verrett served as Business Development Director at Shoreline Gas, Inc. and Manager for Gas Supply & Processing for Houston Pipeline Company at Enron Corp.
Mr. Verrett graduated with a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from Lamar University in 1978.
Gabriela Manciu Geiser, CPA, MAcc
Controller
Mrs. Geiser has been a member of the accounting department at VirTex Operating Company, Inc. since November, 2014. Prior to joining the oil and gas industry, Mrs. Geiser worked for the Texas A&M University's Coastal Bend Business Innovation Center as a graduate assistant and she spent five years working in public accounting for two local CPA firms. Gabriela is also a licenced CPA and she is currently the Controller for the company.
Mrs. Geiser earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi in 2009 and her Master of Accountancy from the same university in 2010. She graduated Summa Cum Laude and obtained awards for outstanding academic achievement in both her graduate and undergraduate studies.
Karen Houston
Human Resources Manager
Ms. Houston joined VirTex Operating Company in January, 2011 and handles all of the human resources responsibilities for the company. Prior to becoming part of VirTex's management team, Ms. Houston worked as manager of the accounting and HR departments at a maritime company. She has also worked as tax accountant at a local CPA firm and has prior management experience in accounting and human resources with companies in government contracting and oil & gas service.
Ms. Houston earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management from Texas A&M; University in Corpus Christi, TX.
Kimberley Guerra
Office Manager
Ms. Guerra began her career with VirTex Operating Co. in September, 1998. She has an Associates Degree in Business Administration from Del Mar College. She began her career in 1989, managing the office for an oil and gas service company, and has remained in the oil and gas industry since then. Her experience includes all areas of oil and gas accounting and office management.
